Due to fish farming being done in an unsustainable manner, many popular fish populations are being depleted. This is leaving the decision about what seafood to eat to be a tricky one. On top of these challenges already here, more than eighty percent of the seafood sold and eaten in the United States has been imported from other countires, often from places with health, safety, environmental and labor standards much worse than our own. That said, if you ask at your restaurants and supermarkets about where their food comes from as well as how it was caught or farmed, you as a concerned consumer can find healthy and sustainable seafood.
